I will be replacing the bose radio tomorrow in my C6 and wanted to confirm something. It was my understanding that I can tap into one of two places for the illumination wire going to the aftermarket radio.

1) Hazard Lights
2) Traction Control

My question is does anyone know which wire they tapped into? I have the car apart now and these are my options:

1) Hazard Light Wires:
------- Brown
------- Gray/Black
------- Black
------- Tan

2) Traction Control:
------- Brown/White
------- Gray/Black
------- Black


Since people are tapping to both of these places, I would assume you are using the Gray/Black wire, since that is the common wire between the two. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks.

Per this thread, the gray wire on the active handling button will get it done.
