Race Rock event - and the winner is.....
For all you guys who missed the event at Race Rock in Orlando, you missed a great time. Peach and Mean Green 2000 put together a great event.
Now for the big news. The winner of the peoples choice award was a pristine 1982 cross fire. No, not a C5, and not EVEN a 1969 chrome bumper beauty (I believe that was first runner up) but a rubber bumper 1982.
I kept waiting for the best daily driven L82 award (I was the only one and it was my only shot at winning) but alas, there was no daily driver L82 award :cry Honestly, I just registered for nothing but poopies and giggles and I had a great time. Even with my 103,000 mile daily driven car that was rescued from a woman that just couldn't seem to stop bumping in to things (spider cracks on the rubber bumper), I had several kids come up and tell me I had a "cool" looking car, and that was worth it.
Out of approximately 75 cars, there were only 5 C3's!!! I hope next time, more of the C3 guys can make it. You won't be sorry.

It was awesome. Looked like it was right off the showroom floor and VERY cool  color. The 1969 coupe was also pretty awesome. In addition, there was a red 1973 that was gorgeous and a 1969 vert that was nice. These combined with my 1979 comprised the entire C3 representation out of 75 cars!!!! The bubbamobile added comic relief. It was a gorgeous day, a LOT of nice people, an AWESOME cheeseburger at Race Rock, and a a lot of fun. Highly recommend it for anyone thinking about heading to "Vettes at the Rock II" next year.

I'll have to get my Dino film developed and scan a picture in. I'm pretty sure I have a pic of the entire car.
