[VA RATPACK] Go-kart pics from 9/15/07 (Dial-up users start your vacation now)
Ok, now for what you have all been waiting for, pics form the 9/15/07 Go-kart outing. Sorry it took me longer the usual to get them out, I had to sing at a memorial service this morning in Hampton, and had to do some community relations type stuff at an event at Chesapeake Park (in would you imagine Chesapeake) in the afternoon...don't worry I won't let anything get in the way of my picture duties again. I will label some of them, but not all. I don't know what to make of some of the picture qualities, for some reason every time I take pics inside the go-kart place they don't turn out all that great.
Without further adieu...here are the pics.

Pics of waiting around, registration, checking the results of the races...in other words, when they were not in the carts.

Here are the few somewhat, halfway, almost OK pics I got of them actually driving...the little suckers are to dang fast for my Sony Cybershot, there were SEVERAL shots where, by the time the shutter went off, the dang car was out of the pic and all I got was empty track. Santa better make good with the Nikon D40X I asked for, for Christmas.
Some of the race results
It is a little hard to read, but 5 of us were the top 10 fastest times for the day (so far)
#1 - Sonny, #2 - Lee, #6 - Brian, #8 - Doug, & #9 - Wayne. Way to go guys

Great pictures Joe. Thanks for being the unofficial OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER.
Both times we have done this it has been a great time. I definitely plan on making this a regular activity thru the winter to keep everyone in touch since true Vette activities can be difficult during the cold months.
All you Richmond, Fredericksburg and North Eastern North Carolina folks should try to check one of these events out. Outside of actually racing a Corvette I can't think of a better way to get a good racing fix. Plus you won't find a better group of folks to hang around with.
Look for another date soon. Please send me any feed back you have that would make these events even better than they have been and I will do my best to incorporate any suggestions into the future plans.

And let us not forget about the cars.
Sonny's C4 Collectors Edition
Let's look inside Sonny's car, shall we...
Lee's C4 Collectors Edition
Wayne's C5 Z16
Brian's C5 Coupe
John's C5 Coupe
My C5 Vert
Matt's C4 Coupe
I have NO idea how that Army brochure got on Matt's car.
Yahya's Saab
Notice the Silver C5 parked in the background (top right)
A nice butt shot
