Hey, who's the cute girl in the picture ;) But on a more down to earth note...I think that hood looks pretty cool. It's different and it has a nice look. Just my two cents :)

 Sorry my vote is no it looks to much like a baby stinger hood scoop or a Mach 1 Mustang scoop :boxing I would go with a L88 or real full size 67' Stinger Hood or try this web site www.up22.com

I don't particularly care for the scoop, but the '80 convertible with mean side pipes is pretty

Another vote for no sorry. I bought a 67 BB replica scoop for my 77 that I will be modifying to fit the existing hood.
That one you have there looks like an after thought.

I like it, but it needs extended to the edge of the hood with a bit of a rake in the back edge. Modify the back of the scoop and give it a coat of black and take another look before you cut your hood.

Sorry,
I got to go with Brutus and Intimidator454 on this one. It is just to small and looks to much like an add-on. Reminds me of something you see on Mustangs or even some Hondas around here.
Try here for more options: http://www.vanacorvette.com
Personally, I like the Twin Turbo Hood. (pg.26) If you want low key, they also make a 80-82 stock style high rise that looks stock but has 1 1/2" more clearance. (pg.27)

Thanks for all the feedback people. Keep 'em coming.
The "cutie" in the pic is my one of my daughters/mechanics.
Thanks for the sites. I have checked them out and I'm a little concerned with the height of the scoops I've seen so far. My air cleaner sticks out of the hood about 3". I really like the 36 1/2 " long, '67 stinger' at the first site but my a/filter won't fit under. I'd really like to put on one of them real high scoops (for future mods :D) but the wife couldn't0 see over or around it so she wouldn't feel safe to drive. And she Will drive it. Did I mention she was short even with a cushion? ;)

I would vote for it if it were longer and went to the back of the hood. It would make a nice winter project if you've got a heated garage.

My vote is; "Nope". Just didn't do anything for me visually on your ride. It doesn't flow like the rest of the body lines/curves. Just looks like it was plopped on the hood.
Maybe more than my alotted two cents worth, but next time I'll only put in a pennies worth. :D :flag

gotta have something to cover the hole, this works for me. How did you get it centered? Are BB's centered in the engine bay? My small block is offset to the right.

I think it looks alright. It would sure beat the price and headaches of a new hood and would solve your clearance issue. That scoop reminds me of the type early street guys would use for additional clearance. I think there were some that simply bolted on. I saw an '80 at a cruise last summer and he solved his hood clearance issue by bonding on a pro-street scoop. He said he wanted maximum clearance.

Re: Do I use this hood scoop ¿ (1979toy)
could you slide it farther forward and make it look like a motion i-88 scoop? and bond it so that the first hump in the hood is even (sides) with the stinger? I think it would look killer with a little work
