Re: 78-82 T-top adjustment instructions (Rhys)
Thanks. I bought a used set off of a fellow forum member, and they came with new weatherstripping. I put the weatherstrip on , and now they fit really tight. The weatherstrip needs to be compressed for awhile I think. But, after they have sat for awhile, I will be finishing the adjustment, so it will be helpful then.

Try using dielectric grease on the new weatherstrip. It softens them up.

Ah, those are the same instructions that came with my new tops from Thompson Astro Tops.
By the way, I higly recommend their replacement t-tops with the plastic instead of the glass. They are half the weight and only $650 ish for new tops or $450 exchange.
If you have some of the really rare t-tops like the mirrored ones, I would buy a set of these for daily driving and leave the factory ones out of the sun (so they don't fade) and only use them for car shows and parades.
