Default Garage-a-Paloza, A Chronical

Vette needs a better place to sleep

I have never gotten around to doing this garage, so I figured I get at it before the fall gets here. I've done a couple af garages before, but they were always 3 car garages. This garage is a STD 2 1/2 car garage, so the challenge will be the best use of space...

I'll chronical the expenses and time as I go. Feel free to suggest away, I'm winging it step by step...

This is what I'm starting with.

First step was to shed some light on the subject. 2 2' x 4' 4 bulb
fluorescents

Also dropped some power down in the middle of the garage with a recoiler

Back wall cabinet "rough in" with first coat of paint on the frame. I'll be
going several shades darker for the final coat. The blue came out to bright. No worries,
it will take more than one coat anyways...

I'll update the thread as I go along...

Peace
Chip

Because I piled all the crap off to the right and excluded it from the pic...

i am planning on doing the same thing with my 3-car garage this fall.

first step for me is build a garden shed for unnecessary crap in the garage.

i will not be taking pictures of progress keeping track of time and expenses because, well, i am lazy like that.

but i will be watching this thread for ideas along the way.

thanks chip for taking the time to document your garage remodel. you're an inspiration to us all!

Maybe you saw my pics of my new Garage-Mahal but my best advice to you Chip is to stop all work immediately and add 2 stalls, THEN do your remodel!!

Ok, seriously, this is going to be fun to watch and thanks for taking the time to document it as you go... I don't have the patience for that myself... but maybe I'll try as I begin the similar process on my new shack...

Now I'm not going near your house until it's done. I know you'll hand me a hammer...

Kidding, I'll stop by. I want to see the progress.

Yup, it's inspiring

There has been talk of adding 2 + 1 (drive through) with a Mother in Law suite on top

That's a pretty high price to pay in my book

Peace

We close Friday... Sunday is the big moving day.

It looks smaller and smaller to me... but EVERY SINGLE guy that sees it has garage envy for sure... It's funny as hell!! EVERY ONE!
I'm hoping for a party to watch the Husker game Saturday night on the big screen in the garage that night!!

If I had 2-1/2 stalls and could possibly add 2-3 more, I'd do it in a heartbeat, mother-in-law included!! Oh yeah!! My biggest problem right now is I need to get a man-sized snowblower to remove the snow from 36 x 50 plus foot driveway...
