CCW Classic Race Wheels w/Hoosiers
I've got a set of 4 CCW Classic Race Wheels for sale. These are used and have nicks/scratches from normal use.
Fronts:
18x11
8 1/8" Backspacing (approximately)
305/30/18 R3S05s mounted
Tires are older, still have some rubber left on them though. One rim has a slight bend on the outside edge, still holds air and tire fine though. The wheel has been this way since I purchased them approximately a year and a half ago. The other wheel has a pressure leak around the silicone seal that mates the halves together. Next time the tires are changed this will need to be fixed.
Rears:
17x12
8 7/8" Backspacing (approximately)
335/35/17 R3S04s mounted
Tires are new within the last year. They have 3 sessions at an HPDE on them. Due to the width of the wheels, the tires stick out slightly out of the fenders, and I had a very slight rub at full compression on the inner fenderwells without a tub on the car. An 1/8 spacer would solve all of this, but the rub is not bad enough to worry about it to me.
I'm asking $1450+shipping for the set with tires installed.
If you would like either the fronts or the rears, I will split for $725 for the pair.
I have another pair of 305/30/18 R3S04s with one heat cycle on them that I would mount up on the front wheels if someone wanted for another $200. Or I will sell these outright for $275+shipping.
Local pickup preferred, but I will ship at buyer's expense.
Pictures can be found here...

Pictures 75 thru 94 are the wheels with mounted tires, pictures 101-102 are the 1 session 305s.

There used to be some threads on here and on the other board z06v-tte about these sizes, I can't seem to find much on it right now though (as they are pretty old threads).
Gist of it is that 18s in front gives you clearance for larger brake kits, and stiffer tire sidewalls (due to being shorter). This will allow for better turn in to the corner than a taller sidewalled 17 will.
The 17s in the rear will have a taller sidewall (also slightly shorter tire) to allow you a little more grip/slightly better gearing coming off of the corner and a similar sized 18" tire would.
By using this tire size, it should rotate about the corner a little better than an all 17" or all 18" would.
Here is an old thread that talked about it a little bit...

This is the prefered setup if your more concerned about handling than esthetics.
Helps turn in, reduces static understeer, helps traction, neutralizes handling front to rear, bigger tire contact patch in front.

They might not be the best looking when you're up close to them, but they look great in action.
