Installing Cleartastic

David,
The install isn't too difficult. It just requires patience. It is a static cling material and will stick to it self quite well if you aren't careful. Otherwise, just start at one edge and work it up until it is on. With a few trial and error passes (apply and remove) it can go on bubble and crease free. Just try to take your time.

Might want to consider this for the trip home then take your time putting on the better stuff.

I won't be necessary that it be perfect; just want protection for the ride home, then will remove. I'm thinking of a vinyl bra to protect the nose, some mirror covers, then the Cleartastic for the rockers, behind the front wheels, and in front of the rear wheels(scoop area).
Just want to get her home as unscathed as possible.

doesn't take to long to apply.........edges really need to be down or wind/rain will peel them off real quick. They do turn a little yellow if you leave them on for extended time. Mine was garage kept & not in sun but I guess it is what it is. I think to big of a hassle to apply & remove for trips. I wouldn't dream of putting them on this new vette I got last week. However, its just my opinion.

Let me suggest this. Buy some Scotch brand blue painters tape and apply in the rocker and rear of wheel part of the fenders. I drove 8 hours to a Pace Car reunion and it worked perfectly. Takes about 15 minutes to install and 5 minutes to remove. I would recommend the Scotch brand which is a quality product. I even extended my bra coverage up th hood with the tape. Later I saw someone at a road course with tape all over it to protect from sandblasting the paint, so I'm not the only one that does it!
