4 way flashers for a C1
Other then swapping out the steering column for an Ididit or Flaming River has anyone installed 4 way flashers on their C1...
Last night on the way home from work my 2000 Impala died in traffic (fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel regulator or related)...
I had to call for a tow truck but I was lucky to get the Impala out of heavy bumper to bumper traffic to an less busy stretch of pavement. But because it was less busy, cars were moving at a good clip and I almost got rear ended twice... The hazard lights did put my mind at ease a bit..
Later when I got home I started thinking if this had been the C1...
Of course I don't take her to work (insurance doesn't allow it for one thing)....but...

I think I would be more inclined to carry some flares than wire in 4 way flashers on my 61.

this switch (or similar):
and:
wire the flasher to the center lug &
the N.O. 1 To the left rear wire
The N.O. 2 to the Right Rear
The N.O. 3 To the Left Front.
And the N.O. 4 to the right front

I used this switch in my 49 Chevy pickup. Very nice product. Easy to wire and hide under the dash so it isn't visible.

Since you are installing an Ididit or Flaming River column it is a piece of cake. All you need is the wire kit, costs about $50, very easy. I installed the same thing on my 61, Ididit has a wire kit so you don’t have to hack up your harness.
