89 L98 6Speed Targa $4500
Im listing my baby because she just does not wanna stop giving me problems.
shes has 128k on original motor
i have 2 sets of wheels which are the original 89s (one of the rims is busted up so really a set of 3 good ones)
and a full nice set of 90s wheels
right now its currently having ignition problems and not wanting to start after a few startups .. also has a misfire on 1 and 3 im pretty sure... it drivea but with loss to power..
i have replaced everything on the dist except the ooil....
i have reasoned most likely to weak spark and bad fuel...
she has 2 minor body flaws and one major from the accident it was in.. someone backed out of a driveway without looking and hit me in the front right tire and ripped a small hand size chunk out of the hood and bent the rim (its repairable)
i had a new fuel pump installed, new battery as of last week, New alternator end of last year before i put it up and it has true dual exhaust running from precats back straight with Magnaflow muffs on it... she sounds purrty
6 speed ZF tranny in great condition and has a newer 6-7k miles clutch (previous owner told me Spec 2)
rear end is mint not a problem there at all... stock gears never been touched
im asking $3500 obo... located in Michigan... come pick it up .. trailer it home .. make a beast out of it.! Jim

FYI, you may have a blown head gasket, between cylinders 1 & 3. I've an 86 and had 4 (weak) and 6 not firing. I replaced the head gasket - it had a space the width of little finger nail between 4 & 6. A mechanic diagnosed it as follows, get 4 or 6 to TDC and push air into the spark plug hole. On my car, air was going in 4 (TDC) but coming out 6 spark plug hole. You might try it with 1 & 3 to see if you have that problem. Jim

As I read the post, I immediately thought "coil".....then I got to this (above).....you've done this much, why not change the coil for a new one? Sounds like its getting heat soaked and not giving you enough voltage after its hot.

No one wants a AWESOME PROJECT CAR FOR CHEAP!!! $3500 trailer it home!!!! its still in good shape and has 2 sets of rims!!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR BUY MY VETTE AND BUILD YOUR DREAM! (and mine) lol
