Default F/S 73 Convertible, Motivated Seller

It's a 1973 Convertible; 1 of 4,943 convertibles built in 1973. Purchased in May of 2004 from the original owner. Received all the original factory and dealership paperwork when car was bought. The car is in excellent shape and has been garage kept. It has the original factory white paint on the car and the interior is in great shape. The interior is (oxblood) red with a white convertible top. It has never been wrecked and has 137,037 miles on it but the engine (350-L-48) and transmission (Auto) were rebuilt 13,000 miles ago. No Rust anywhere on the car. I try and drive it once a week, the car drives and rides great.

I have all the receipts for everything that has ever been done to the car. The tank sticker is still attached to the top of the gas tank. I have taken it to a number of local car shows and it has done well.

Just a few of the items that have been replaced on the car since May 2004:

-New Tires
-New Belts and Hoses
-New Front Bumper and Paint
-New Points, Plugs and Wires
-New U-Joints
-New Starter
-New Battery
-New Fuel Pump
-New Brakes
-New Carpet

I have reduced my asking price to $21,800 (NADA is $23,518)

Photo's are on this site, check post on 06-30-07 by EddiePear for pics.

I'm very motivated to sell the car, Serious inquires only please, SORRY, NO DEALERS.

Thanks,

Eddie

[QUOTE=EddiePear;1561143493], SORRY, NO DEALERS.

QUOTE]

Why no dealers? I am not a dealer BTW, just curious. If a dealer wanted my car and paid cash, what is the difference? FWIW I think your car is very nice, and I can't believe you have not sold it yet. Good luck on the sell.

In my past experience, dealers will not give you what the car is worth. I don't want to waste the dealers time.

Default Still FOR SALE

Believe it or not, I still have the car. I've had a number of people look at the car but NO ONE has made me an offer (a lot of tire kickers).

One guy inspected the car for almost 2 hours, I put the car on a lift and he went over (and under) it with a fine tooth comb. The only negative thing he said was the car did not have power windows, but he knew that prior to looking at the car.

It's still for sale...the right person it out there, I hope.

Thanks
Eddie

For me, NO power windows is a plus.
Your car sure looks right for the money.

Good luck,

I know you have had it up here for awhile but now that I've seen pics I am suprised it hasn't sold. The car looks outstanding. Hope you get some serious buyers now that you have some pics. Good luck.

That "no power windows" thing is a real deal killer apparently....

How dare GM build the car without that feature....

It's hard to look at your avatar (Tiger Paw), seeing as how you are from Gamecocktown.

In the spring i did ask for a lot of pics. All the pics showed that the car was in good shape, but when i asked for pics fromthe window post pillar behind the lower kickpanel, you turned me down. You would not "take the car apart". That's why the deal didn't come through.
This spot is decisve, when you are looking for a vette.

Niels...Great to see you are still on the forum. If I remember correctly, I sent you almost 50 pics of the car. You requeted pics of the area behind the kickpanels, I removed the carpet and kickpanels and took the photos. I again sent you the pics you requested. You sent one of the pics back and circled the area wanted to see. Again, I took the car apart and took the pics you requested.

Maybe I did not understand the exact area you needed to see.

Please don't misunderstand me, I know you want the best car for the money. If you are still interested in the car, let me know and I'll try again.

Thanks
Eddie
