Default 2008 C6 LS-3 first Cam/LG Header/ K&N dyno at LG Motorsports

Hi Guys,

Here it is. This is an 08 C6 with an LG G7X-4 cam with LG Pro Long Tube Headers, K&N Air Charger, and stock performance muffler but with No tune. Computer tune to come this week.

484rwhp 440 rwtq

We did another pull after the engine was allowed to cool off and hit 488rwhp. I don't have that graph scanned in yet but I will get it up later.

This indicates that there is some heat related timing control issues just like the first dyno pulls of the original C6 Z06 before a tune.

At any rate, it looks like an easy 500 rwhp or there about with just the tune. And we are working on having a set of ported heads ready soon to install to get those numbers also.

Thanks

Lou Gigliotti LGM

I am assuming you mean it's an '08.

Nice! I can just imagine, catback with FI on it, might be in the neighborhood of 650+ to the wheels.

Thanks for posting some great results. I'll be calling soon for a cam, should have my 08 in a couple months.

Did you cam this one with head work in mind? Or is this a pretty good cam for stock heads.

Any way to post a sound clip or video (with sound)

I'm afraid to ask, but what is the drivability like after these mods and does it still get the same gas miliage? Also, what is the price of the headers and cam installed? I guess just a ballpark if I could get that, just wondering if its anywhere near my budget. 500RWHP is awesome!!!! Actually, I have the NPP exhaust so that means I get 506RWHP right?

We have two cams larger, and three cams smaller. So it is just over the mid point in the cam selection.

We plan on doing more testing with the car but we know what the cams did in the LS-2 so the delta should stay the same.

thanks

Default Headers and Cam

So what you are saying Lou is that a new 08 with the NPP exhaust that I am ordering, and I order your cam ,headers and the K&N and a good tune it should hit right around 500hp.?

If they are hitting 485 rwhp with out heads and a tune then I'm sure 500+rwhp will be attained with better flowing heads

How is the idle quality without tuning? Does it search up and down like my 98 Camaro did before it was tuned?

Geez, that's insane. How do these numbers compare to the LS2 with the exact same mods??? As I recall wasn't the LS2 around 430 RWHP??

Maybe you could post the dyno results for both the LS2 and LS3 so folks can see the delta's.

Looks as though the LS3 has more potential than the LS2 has. Results are showing it responds very nicely to mods.
