I can't help with a GM p/n. Pace lists three numbers for LT1 partial engines
- 88894195
- 88894196
- 88894197
They might be able to go to a breakdown of components for the block
number, but I suspect not.
If shopping for a used block, others have posted that the LT1/LT4
5.7L blocks have #10125327 cast into the block.
Lore has it that Corvettes received 4-bolt versions; f-bodies, Impalas
and cars based on the Impala received 2-bolt versions. However, I
believe members here have posted that due to production considerations
this was not always strictly observed. I don't know personally.
A smaller 4.3L (265) version of the Gen II engine was produced. It
can be identified by a casting number of #10168588. These are
all supposed to be 2-bolt.
Casting numbers from Jims Performance and Mortec
