Default I got my car back - Engine finally done!

I finally got my car back last Monday with the freshly rebuilt engine and this thing is nuts! It pulls so hard at high rpm's and wants to keep going. There is a huge difference compared to the old L98. I kept my original valve covers and plenum to keep it stock looking, but the plenum was ported to match the new intake and runners. Here's a pic!

It was completely rebuilt. The heads and plenum were ported to match the Edelbrock intake and runners. It's got Hooker 2151 headers, new water pump, oil pump, #24 injectors etc.

Curious, how much $ do you have into that build?

Aren't those the headers that "wouldn't fit"? (sorry, couldn't resist!)...

Nice work!

Enough to make his car running good. When mine needs a rebuild I'm going to say screw the L98 and put a brand new crate engine in there.

Jimmers, looks great - but from that pic it doesnt look like the ALT has a rear support bracket - you need to fab one up to the header mount for the #3 cylinder, the headers came with spacers. You'll crack the ALT housing before you know it, without support back there

I havent dyno'd it yet, but I have plans to do it this summer. The difference is like night and day compared to the L98.

It was just over $6000cdn. Everything was brand new except the plenum and valve covers. I even got the clutch replaced since they were there. It also comes with a 2 year warranty on parts and labour which I really like.
