If it is like my 65...

1) Loosen the small set screw holding the wiper **** to the wiper switch and remove ****
2) Now look for the special nut with 2 slots in it, on either side of the wiper switch shaft
3) Using a pair of needle-nose pliers, put on point of the pliers into one of the slots in the special nut, put the other point in the other slot, twist counterclockwise to loosen the nut.

If switches are different in 1967, then I apologize for not being able to help.

I got past the allan nut but wasn't sure whether to turn the switch or the nut. Now to find some needlenose pliers that small. Thanks for the help! Pete

If the needle nose pliers don't do the job, there is a special barrel tool that is designed to make the job easy. I tried and tried on my 67 with the pliers and eventually borrowed the barrel tool.

Handy cluster tools - ring tool for the ignition switch bezel, barrel tool for the wiper and headlight switch nuts, hi-tech paper clip for removing the ignition lock cylinder.

So what's the trick to getting the ignition lock cylinder out with the paper clip? Push the clip into both holes at the same time, twist, and pull it out? Clip into one hole, then the other? I'm trying to get mine apart and it won't cooperate. I feel like an idiot.

Are you twisting counterclockwise? I don't remember having to put the paperclip into more than 1 hole, but I don't have a 63.

Yes, it's for a '63. I tried twisting both ways. It doesn't want to move. It has two holes in the face.

Do I need to have the key in the lock? If so, I'm out of luck. I don't have keys.

Yes, you do need to have the key

If you do not have any keys, then IF your ignition lock and door lock are still the same, you should be able to remove the door lock and get the 4 digit number off the side of it. A good lock smith can then cut a new key based on that 4 digit code.

OK. Thanks for the help! Since I'm getting an all new lock set I think I'll grind down the ears with a die grinder until the ring clears and will come off.
