Default K&N, American Racing headers and tune Dyno Results...

So this past friday my k&N Came in the mail and ive had the headers on the shelf for quite some time. The car has 1000 miles on it now so it was time to open her up. 07Z06 Took her to Newtech Performance in hayward CA. Did too baseline pulls with only the LG Switch open Car made 444rwhp and 432tq back to back pulls. Took her off the dyno and into the lift headers went on and so did the k&N back to the dyno car did 464rwhp and 450tq after nick tuned it we ended up with 490rwhp and 469tq need to say i was very pleased for those of you thinking about headers and tune its a must even with the switch on the car is mild. I might have to get a set of corsas or b&bs cause it aint loud enough for me...

Excellent! I've got the same combo, plus a 160 thermostat. I dyno'd with a tune and the K&N, before headers, got 480/444 sae. Retuned for headers, gonna dyno soon. Hoping for simular numbers

Those look like very reliable, honest numbers--exactly what you would expect. It also looks reliable in terms of the steps in performance the car had at each stage.

People who add an air intake or just a tune and show dynos with 500rwhp need to look at threads like this. ALL of the results make sense.

Good job!

Btw, I bet your car will continue to feel stronger as the ecm adjusts to everything and you get a few miles on the setup.

Those are the strongest numbers I have seen from just a tune and intake. I see that you stated SAE too.

Very impressive too! Two questions: Was that SAE? and How much did you get from just the intake and tune? (less the ported intake, like 6speed). Just was hoping for an apples to apples comparison.

Yes, sae on a dynojet. Ported intake was worth 8hp. It was installed right on the dyno for a before and after on the same day. Great hp per dollar mod ( and no one knows ) Also......I now have a 07Z. This one I tuned myself with a Predator default tune. Car also has a Halltech foam filter. No ported intake and although it has never been on a dyno, it feels just as strong as the 06Z.

I have the exact same combination, Evilness. I had the F1 filter before and I just put the K&N on last week and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! The car definitely feels stronger now, but if I don't get 1 hp difference between the two, the difference in driveability was worth the cost.

On a Dyno Dynamics dyno, with the F1 I made 480/468 corrected. Can't wait to get it dyno'd with the K&N.

I'm impressed, your getting better than those with hearders, 50 plus hp with the intake.
