07 price?

07 price?
Is an 07 at invoice a good buy? I ask because I see deals on here for $500 under GMID, and $750 under supplier pricing. How do those compare to invoice price?
Also if a dealer was to offer me an 08 at invoice, is that better than what most dealers will offer right off the bat when the 08 start to hit the lots?
Thanks.

The invoice will show GMS and GM Supplier (= GMID), so you can compare the figures you are quoting to a pure invoice deal. Ask to see the invoice.

I think Rick Conti at EVS Chevrolet in Random Lake Wisconsin in another thread stated that he would sell all his in stock '07's at GM employee pricing.
That's ~$2400 below invoice, I think, depending on options.
Might want to follow up on that.

This is a no brainer, you order the 08 at invoice. You get more improvements, more hp, and you can bet on a price increase on 08's after 2 to 3 months of production. Chev. is usually good for 2 to 3 price increases for the model year run. Don't be cheap $7,500 off is on Conv.'s not coupes. Take the deal at invoice on the 08 and don't buy a brand new car that a year old already.

I think that there will be unbelievable deals out there and they will get better in Jun/Jul.
According to the Jeff Hardy website there are 438 unsold 2006 C6's on dealer lots. They are 6237 2007 C6's on dealer lots. Huge glut of product on the lots.

Don't anticipate invoice on the 08's anytime soon. How the heck could they "get rid of" the 07 & 06 inventory if the 08's were at invoice?

I dont know what to do!! Im looking to buy a Vette this month but with all this speculation on blow out deals on 06 and 07's it makes me want to hold out!! I mean if gm is going to start nocking off 10,000 off MSRP that would make me want to wait.

Guys, let's be reasonable. Take a deep breath. Exhale.
Every year and even during every year, there will be improvements and there may be increases. There will be sales, markdowns, once in a lifetime deals, and as the model year marches along, the prices may (or probably) moderate---meaning, go down.
Regardless of who knows or admits it, the '07 model year was over on the last day to take orders which was in April. It was most certainly over by last weekend and the announcement in Bowling Green of the new, '08s. So every '07 is most definitely ONE YEAR OLD, with applicable depreciation in value. Not necessarily price to consumer, but value. You need to know the difference.
No one except possibly those who have GM Employee status will get an '08 at invoice. Close, maybe but not invoice. And while invoice is what a dealer will pay for a car, it isn't the eventual, total cost of the car to the dealer.
So, on any given day, today, tomorrow, next month, 6 months frrom now---you need to take as educated as possible guess based on the figures you can get or have been told, and then make your decision. Granted, no one wants to make that $10K mistake, but that's not really gonna happen, is it? Unless you wait to '09 to buy the one, remaining, '06 that still exists...
How do the numbers asked by the Original Poster(OP), compare to GMID and Invoice? You need to become familar with the table from warthog34. E me and I'll send it to you, or search for "GMID and GMS pricing tables for 2007" in the search function above.
Hope this helps you. Don't forget there was about an $80 mid-year increase to the buyer, so add it in. And don't forget that there really is first year depreciation. Just ask a bank what your brand new (now) '07 with 25 miles on it is worth. LESS.

Appreciate your advice. The idea of having a new 07 in the next week or two is appealing and would be obviously less money. I'd really like to see the new Jetstream Blue and Crystal Red in the flesh.
My last Corvette was a loaded 02 black Coupe that I was fortunate enough to purchase close to invoice and then a $2,000 rebate/incentive. I would not expect to get invoice pricing on an 08 but
500-1,000 over by say December would be nice.
My personal gut feeling is that there will likely be some outright cash incentives on the 07s in the not to distant future.
