Back-up hood release
I know others have installed back-up hood release mechanisms usings wire, zip-ties and ect.
I came up with what I thought was a little bit cleaner looking idea though.
Using some cables (similar to a throttle cable) with the preinstalled ends.
I fed them through the same clip the actual clip that retains the hood release cable.
Drilled a small hole in the cowl seal and fed it through.
Then took the crimp portion of a connector slid it on, folded the cable over, inserted the end into the connector (to create a loop) and crimped it.
Decided to do this after a friend had one of his cables break and saw what he went through.
I have enough cables and connectors to do a few more Vettes if anyone's interested. I figure just a couple bucks to cover shipping and packaging.

I didn't get your PM. But I might be out anyway I've got a set set off to the side for Brian, but I'm still waiting to hear back from him.
Either way I come across these cables pretty regularly and when I do I'll be sure to offer them again and You'll be first in line when I do and they'll stay 2 bucks (not looking to make anything off them, just trying to help out).
Thanks UV
