Default Ordered new wheels and tires....

I ordered some wheels and tires for my 2006 Corvette Z51, and, since I'm so excited, I thought I'd post. I ordered CCW's new "T10" wheels, 19x10 fronts and 20x11 rears, and 275/30/19 and 325/25/20 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s. Tires are here, wheels in a week or two. :drive:

Here are the 325/25/20s:

As you can see, the wheels are similar to the HRE 842Rs, seen here on a C6 Z06.....

Do you mind me asking the cost of these?

Nice. I just put some chrome wheels on mine from Factory Reproductions. I looked at some HRE's but I had to laugh when I heard the price.

They are high polished. As far as cost, I got the tires from Tire Rack, and the wheels from CCW directly. Prices are on both sites.

CCW makes the 20x11s with just the right offset/backspacing to fit the 325s without tubbing. It must be a tight fit, since he "recommended" the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s specifically, lol. Here is a pic of some 20x11 505As with 325/25/20s.

Spanky, those should look very nice. Just out of curiousity, why did you make the comment about the "recommended" PS2's? Do they have a particular characteristic about them that you can go with a larger size? I ask because I am currently looking for tires to fit my new 19X11's. I will use a 295/30/19, so I am not concerned about a tight fit. I'm comparing the PS2's to the Yokohama Advan Sports. Thanks in advance.

I just had a buddy of mine tell me about these wheels a couple of weeks ago, I had planned on buying the HRE 842's but then I saw these, PLEASE POST LOTS OF PICS once you put them on the car and take them from many different angles if your will. Thanks

I don't really know, when I talked to John @ CCW, he recommended that I use the PS2s (which I had already planned on doing fwiw). Weather it is just because he is very familiar with the fit and he knew they would fit with his offset, or weather the PS2's 325 is different from brand "X" 325s, I am not sure. I'm guessing that a 20x11 wheel and 325/25/20 tire is a TIGHT fit in a non-Z06 C6.

Will do, it wil likely be a few weeks yet, I still need to get my zinc coated rotors and powdercoated calipers together, and I'm having the shop lower and align the car when they mount and balance the wheels and tires.

Thanks, Shawn

You would think there would be a general standard for tires. And there KINDA is; however, tire manufacture to manufacture sizes can differ ever so slightly. Some run "FAT/WIDER" some run "SKINNY". If you compare any PS2 to say a Toyo T1R in the same sizes the PS2 will be wider. Vise versa for many other comparisons. Tested a few different tire brands and the PS2's fit the best with this wheel package.
