Default ***Cobra4B's LGM G5-X2 Cam Install Thread***

IT'S BUMPSTICK TIME

Parts List:
*LGM G5-X2 114 cam kit (cam, hardened pushrods, seats, Comp 921 springs, Ti retainers, and new valve seals)
*LS2 timing chain
*GM LSX chain damper
*LS4 oil pump (higher volume pump)
*ATI super damer 10% underdrive pulley

First up get garage clean and car in a good spot.

Remove hood... so much more room.

Get car up in the air and take the wheels off.

Air intake out of the way... etc.

Drain perfectly good coolant.... Here kitty kitty kitty!

Drain oil... then disconect oil cooler lines making as little mess as possible.

Pull out racing radiator and fan shroud as one piece.

Done for today.

What heads are you gonna use?
I got same came 3 or 4 years back and got the 5.3L stage 2 heads on for 2 years and still haven't tuned with heads yet
Are you gonna tune yourself? I got HP tuner for 2 years and still haven't touched it
Anyway, hope you are using HP tuner so you can post some writeup for that

Stock heads... yes going to use HP tuners and a wideband to get it close.... then get the car dynotuned by Jeff Creech from CAM. He'll be up in the area begining of February.

Why are you still on the forum when your supposed to be with the GF? Is your GF's name Rosy Palm by any chance?

Who is doing the tuning afterwards? Keep us updated on the dyno results.

Good luck!
