West Coast Corvette Challenge 2007 Season Opener Sat., 1/20/07@LACR
The first WCCC event of the 2007 drag racing season is Saturday, January 20th at LACR. This is the first event of the 2007 season. The LACR track entry/tech card fee is $20 for car & driver, and $10 for each additional crewmember. WCCC event registration fees continue to be $15.
Remember since this is the beginning of the new WCCC season, the sign-up fees for season points competition will be due before you can start earning points. Our one time per season points competition registration fee will remain at $20 per WCCC driver. So far six events scheduled for the first part of the season, with more events yet to be scheduled for later in the year.
According to the LACR website annual schedule, we will be sharing the track with Pontiac Drag Days, Quick 16 Bracket and test and tuners...so plan on being there early in order to be ready for our first time trial call. I'm not sure what time the gates open, so please check the weekly schedule after Monday 1/15 at the LACR web site LACR and/or phone number (661)-533-2224 to confirm gate open time prior to the event. I'll also add the gate time to this thread when I get it.
* * * * Per LACR website, Gate opens at 9:00AM, on Saturday 1/20/07 * * * *
So let's hear who's going to be at LACR on January 20th...and if you plan on signing up for the season points competition.

Brother Dave - I just looked at the weather forecast for next Saturday and it looks like there is the possibility of some rain...is there a makeup date?

It was a beautiful day today...weather says it was a high of 59, but it sure felt more like mid to upper 60's. Same expected for tomorrow.
Weather forecast says 37 at 9:00AM, 50 at noon, 53 at 3:00PM, and back down to 43 by 6:00PM.
Bring warm clothes. See you at the track.
