Wow, 20 pages of Forum Members basically showing either:
- their ignorance of economics, and/or
- their willingness to slam and bang each other over comments, or factual pricing information.
Add to the above:
- that fear of the depreciation of their investment shows up, clearly and frequently, and
- unwillingness to recognize that many C6's in used condition are not selling for KBB, or anywhere close to their numbers, and
- ignoring the fact that most, not all, dealers are offering $500 off Invoice for '07's - that really puts the screws to the prices asked for the '05 & "06's, and
- regardless of what GM is going to offer as HP increases - the tuners will, as they have all along since '97, offer products that increase that HP for MINIMAL $.
What is most interesting in reading and analyzing this post is the majority of members posting are noOb's - many, per profile, with this C6 being their first Vette.
Dang - people, get a life. There will always:
- be a newer version of a particular vehicle, and
- with few exceptions those will offer "better things" than previous models, and
- older, used vehicles (I.e., Vettes) will suffer resale value depreciation as the above Vettes are released, and
- during the past few years HP increases have occurred, and baring certain issues, will continue to increase.
SO WHAT?????????

well, my dyno to the wheel says differently....OR....my LS7 and a slew of others have the most least restrictive drivelines in the history of automobiles. I know what Katech has stated about the changing SAE requirement...but lets get real. A car advertised as 505 crank hp....and it's putting down near 460 to the wheel SHOWROOM STOCK, well you believe what you want to believe. Sounds like a crank 530hp powerplant to me, especially flowing through a rear mounted tranny and IRS
but who cares anyways? see sig and results for whatever you want to label the crank HP...it HAULS BUTT and hooks up amazingly well for the power level

Sometimes you guys are hilarious!!!
I think I'll wait for the April unveiling at the Corvette Museum before I jump to any rash conclusions, speculations and name calling.

Oh, and to whomever defended wonder boy 1K -
I went and looked at C6 today at a local dealership. I heart mine and want another. Brand new, arctic white,5 miles no options $38,785. I need options though. As we can see they help recoupe your costs when you resale, right?
