1214 Code - EBCM being rebuilt this week by ebay vendor
Got the dreaded 1214 code that could not be cleared by resetting DIC or even with a Tech II scanner:
Update: They received the unit today (1/5/2006) I was informed "a couple of days" for diagnostic and rebuild. I'm hoping to hear from them by Tues/Wed.
Sending my unit to ebay vendor (ate1234) this week for a rebuild.
From the testimonials they appear to be legit....Anyone use these guys before and how did it turn out? I pray the rebuild will clear the code for good.

Hope it doesn't happen to my car for a while.....
but, let us know how it goes. Can't see paying a lot of money to the stealership if it can be rebuilt. May I ask how much it cost for the rebuild?
Thanks,
Tim Glover

Had mine done with same vendor. Sent it in on Thursday, had it back and installed on Monday (yesterday). Unit works fine and the customer service ROCKS! THESE GUYS ARE GOOD.

Ok..the unit has arrived but when we took out the unit, all 6 TORX bolts got stripped.
So we went down to Fishers hardware and got some equivalent bolts. The cars is at my tuners house 35 miles away and before I make the trip I want to be sure these bolts will fit like the original bolts.
Will these bolts fit?

I used that vendor also. Got the rebuilt unit back pretty quick. Problem was solved for 3 months, then came back. I'm still trying to determine if the rebuilt BCM is the problem this time or if it's something new.
