Default New Z06 Wheels, Pics!!!! :)))))

I thought I'd share a few pics of my new Z06 wheels.
They are 18's front and rear, w/ 9.5 front, 10.5 rear

I'm lowering it this weekend or next- until then can I convince anyone to "photoshop-drop" it to make me drool?!?!

Thanks for the compliments!

These are a set of the AFS wheel/tire combos from eBay.
The package came with Vredestein tires, 245 front, 275 rear. For some strange reason, the tires from this company are about the same tread width as a 265 and 295 Toyo. I was a little leary about them, to be perfectly honest but they seem to be very nice tires - we'll see how they perform, though.

I agree, the tires do bow in a little, but I'm not too worried about it - they are still a major improvement over the sawblades, and the price was right. . .

Oh, and the brakes are GS calipers with Baer Eradispeed 1-piece rotors.

TestDriver- I look forward to seeing some pics!!

Makes a big difference going from hideous saw blades to a well designed chrome rim. What size tires are those because not to knock on you but i think you could have put a little wider tires on that car all around. The side walls on the tires look like they bow in. I love your brakes what kind of brakes are they and where did you get them. Nice set up though

I think that they look nice on the car too.

I was thinking about 18" wheels for mine also but to fill in the wheel well a bit ... what size is the aspect ratio? Did you go smaller to maintain the overall diameter?

Thanks

My friend has been running a set of their ZR1's for over a year and 22K+ miles without any trouble.

Thanks! I've been using Mother's NXTGen. but I'm hoping to get some Zaino for Christmas and make it really shiny.

THANK YOU!!!! I can't wait to lower it in real life. I think your photochop makes it look pretty mean.

Yes, but here's where the non-standard/weird Vredestein tire sizes come into play. They are marked 245/40YR18 and 275/35YR18, but AFS says they are roughly as wide as a 265 and 295, respectively (confusing, eh?) The standard calcs would tell me that they are 25.7 and 25.6 OAD, but the weird width thing had me concerned. As I received them, both front and rear measured 25.8 in as-new condition, so I figure 25.7 is a fair average number to use to acct for wear. (Stock diameters are about 26.0 front and rear.)

Anyway, these are what came with the wheels, so that's what I've got for now. BTW, they are in fact wider than standard- the tread is a good bit wider than the 255/285 that I took off the car. When they wear out, I'll probably go with a more standard 265/295 combo, or maybe a 275/315 (if anyone makes a 315).
