Friday Prep Party & Saturday Autocross!
It's a little short notice, but saturday, theres going to be a couple of us going to autocross with the BMW club at the Mineral Wells Airport. This is a GREAT group of guys, and there are currently 3 vettes registered to be there.
The event starts at about 8am and it will last the majority of the day (till about 4ish)
Here is a link to the event...
http://www.lscbmwcca.org/autocross.html
They say this is a low speed course, however, last time i got up to 103mph!! Below is a video of what you'll be doing.
The main thing you'll need, is a helmet, oh.. and a car.
Registration is $35 for non-members but you dont have to be a BMW owner to become a member
To register you must goto:

***PREP PARTY***
I'm having a prep party friday night for anyone that would like to come over to bleed brakes, check brakes, tape cars, change starters (in my case) change wheels and tires... whatever we need to do to get our cars ready to have the most fun you've ever had in your car with clothes on! Or just to come over and hang out! (byob)
Attending
Me (of course)

Don't give him any ideas 5w0p3 - he'll be hitting me up for a big raise if that's the case!
the original - you should come and give it a try - I've only raced my car once out at Motorsports ranch and have never done an event like this. There's a first time for everything!

I've been out to Mineral Wells with the Porsche club (other car is a 944) and the base is huge - plenty of room to set up some long, challenging autox courses. What's nice is that if you make a mistake, there's plenty of room to spin with no danger of smacking anything ugly. If you've never autox'd before, you gotta try it at least once!

If my buddy can make it, he's gonna have a nice digital SLR camera taking pics!

I'm registered! I'm committed! I'm going!!
I have new brake pads!!
I'm excited, in case ya couldn't tell.. this'll be my first, well second, autocross type event. I did the TMS infield track once, but there was little room for error and I was skeered as I'd only had the car, oh, a month..
I want to run with AHS off and find the car's true envelope.. I just hope I don't break my car.
