best non stock improvement?
Just wondered what improvements that people made that were the "best bang for the buck" in terms of their C2 enjoyment?

1 Recaro orthopedic seats make long rides fun
2 cruise control lets you look around on long rides
3 halogen headlamps light the night
4 Pertronix ignition minimizes maintenance and problems
5 undercar reflective heat insulation saves fiberglass and nerves
6 stoneguards (mudflaps), Cleartastics, and nose mask save paint and minimize maintenance
7 Hurst shifter - no rattles, never stuck in two gears at once
8 Purolator electric fuel pump doesn't leak or die on road trips
9 Halon fire extinguisher for peace of mind
10 Added fuses, circuit breakers, and fusible links saves fire extinguisher.
11 Anti theft systems with custom cell phone notification (more peace of mind)
12 intermittent wiper control for driving in all day sprinkles
13 halogen stop/tail lamps make the rear visible
14 Uniroyal whitewall radials are quiet and look great on 60s cars
15 Allens 2.5" stainless exhausts with Borla extensions make trans R&R fast
16 Borla stainless Turbo mufflers, 2.5" in and out sound GREAT
17 Derale 16" fan and controller monitors the rad not the engine
18 Griffin BB aluminum rad keeps A-C car cool on 100F (plus) days
19 13.5diameter walnut wheel with 4inch dish gives lots of knee room
20 CAS stereo with Nano for more music without bulk CD/cassette storage
21 stereo booster/equalizer reverb allows 6 speaker stereo (2 in each headrest)
22 Rockford-fosgate coaxial speakers in the CAS kickpanels (the other 2 speakers)

Ditto on the Pirelli tires.
My mufflers are very quiet and I am considering the Magnaflow system from Corvette Central. I know it's subjective but how loud are they? Close to chambered/sidepipes? Stereo unfriendly? Police magnets?

Most bang for the buck !
Pirelli P4000 tires
LT-1 CAM
New rear spring rubber cushions
New QA-1 fully adjustable (ON THE CAR IN MINUTES) Shocks.
Poly front sway bar bushings and end links.
A freshly rebuilt dist, if never touched will wake your car up.
If you just replace all the little stuff on your car, you will enjoy it 10 fold.

1. Jeep steering box
2. T5 overdrive (quiet and smooth) inexpensive
3. C4 seats
4. Vintage air
5. XM Radio
6. Fiberglass rear spring
7. Tilt and cruise
8. Insulated interior cool and quiet
9. TPI
I could go on, but the single best mod I have done is the Jeep steering box. No more leaking, 2.25 turns lock to lock, good road feel, knocks a half second of comparable auto cross times, generally takes the old chassis into the 21 century.

In interpreting bang-for-the-buck, as adding to the driving experience (not necessarily performance):
