Mike Villenueve is the 2006 West Coast Corvette Challenge Champion!
One of the original WCCC racers, Mike won four events out of ten this year to earn his first championship. Mike dominated the series this year, and won by a margin of nine rounds over the ten races from his closest challenger. He never had a bye round ever until the final race of this year. Congratulations Mike!

Thanks!
Thanks Gary and Chris. I finally figured out how to dial the car this season and got some lucky breaks. Five final rounds isn't a bad season.
To bad we had so many cancelled race dates... I really felt like I was on a roll.

Congrats on a super season Mike.
You are going to have the bullseye on your back next season
Phil was coming on strong at the end of this season as well...

Thanks for the congrats everyone.
This year we used a little different format where in the top 4 in points picked names out of a hat to see how they would pair up against each other in the first round. The intent was to level the playing field and give the less experienced drivers a better chance to go to the second and subsequent rounds of racing which would be run off a ladder based on the results from the first round.
This sounded great at the beginning but it turns out, if your in the top 4, you end up racing the same people race after race. This may have just been a fluke but I think I raced Roberts Z06 about 5 times. We'll see if it turns out different next year. Open for suggestions or comments on the format.
Once again, Thanks Again!
