Details:
1984 Corvette
Delco Bose system
6 speakers
Speakers
?? 4" dash
4" door speakers
4" rear speakers
Working on my bosses car...
Bad radio system. Neither the dash or the door speakers work. Tested with good speaker and nothing.
It looks like the system has a amp box behind each speaker. Not part of the speaker but right behind it.
Possibly bad head unit?
What other years of a stock delco head unit will fit in there?

84 bose systems had 4 speakers - 2 in the back, 2 in the doors. The dash speaker covers are dummies (they were used for non-bose systems which don't have door speakers).
Each speaker has its own amp, and it seems as though the amps are what fails most of the time- I dont believe you can replace a speaker with a normal speaker without replacing the head unit...
