Next WCCC Event is Saturday October 21st at LACR...
After our September event was cancelled, it's been almost 4 months since the last WCCC drag racing event...6/24/06...
The next WCCC event of the 2006 drag racing season is Saturday, October 21st at LACR. This is the 12th event of the 13 events scheduled for the 2006 season, but with our many cancellations this season, this will be only the eighth points event. The LACR track entry/tech card fee is $20 for car & driver, and $10 for each additional crewmember. WCCC registration fees continue to be $15.
The 10/21/06 WCCC event LACR gate opening is expected to be at 7:00AM, and we will be running with Super Gas, Super Street, Pontiac Drag Days, Road Kings, Early Riders, and Test-and-tuners. Expect time trials to begin at approximately 9:00AM.
For more information on the WCCC, please visit www.corvette-challenge.com .
Please check the weekly schedule after Monday 10/16 at the LACR web site and/or the LACR info line phone number (661)-533-2224 to confirm gate open time prior to the event.
Let's hear who's going to be at LACR on October 21st...

After winning the last three events, we're all hoping that you are a little rusty after the long layoff from racing
Hope you haven't been practicing!
See you at the track.

This may be one of the last WCCC events ever... Hope to see a lot of folks at the track on Saturday.
Looks like our home track, LACR will be shutting down no later than mid season for 2007, if it lasts that long...there may be plans to rebuild the track in another location, but I'll believe it when I see it.
And with the Corvette participation dwindling over the past two seasons, I'm just about to the point where I will just race with the Summit Series events at LACR as long as it lasts, then move on to some of the other relatively local Division 7 tracks...Famoso, Las Vegas... Of course I will always invite all of the WCCC Corvette community to come out and join me if they like...just would not be a separate Corvette Bracket
Anybody interested in coordinating the West Coast Corvette Challenge for 2007 season??

Hi Brian - How are you doing? I'm glad you got to race with the WCCC while you were out here.
I knew you had been back east without your C4 for a while, and finally got it back home. Wish you could have joined us a beer or for one more WCCC before you took your car back east. Good luck with whatever you are working on now.
