BPP 557 RWHP head & Cam package Z06
Customer loves it!! 557 RWHP one our head and cam package with Vortex Ram Induction and headers through the stock mufflers. We took her out for a spin and found 1st, 2nd and part of 3rd hard to handle. Case of too much power but who ever said too much was not good for you. By the way just before the head and cam install we dynoed him at 504 RWHP.
Had to have the customer sign a waiver to keep it under 3/4 throttle..lol

In the post we put a test with the heads and cam and other mods and the first test with the Vortex Rammer, Headers and programming, no heads and cam.
Stock we were about 448 RWHP
Vortex ram Induction, BPP Step Headers and programming 504 RWHP
All the above plus Heads and Cam 557 RWHP

Any concern about the weak C6 Z06 half shafts that are busting with stock power, or did you replace them?

Yeah, that's pretty high for a cam and cold air intake... We do American Racing Headers, high flow X pipe, stage 3 cam, Callaway Honker cai, Port/Polish throttle body, 160* thermostat, installed and tuned for 5199. And that also includes a 2 year 24k mile warranty. Usually see about 540-560 rwhp from all that... Which is 630+ fwhp.
Sorry to jump in this thread. Congrats on the good numbers!

You will not have to worry about the half shafts unless you put slicks on the car.
As for the work done I find it hard to believe that some of the other tuners are not taking the heads off to prep them. You generally find increased power in the upper RPM range if you go over the heads. Here’s what we did on the heads.
Opened the throats on both intake and exhaust.
Bowls and short turn about 100 thousands opened.
Full length on the exhaust runner opened.
New custom springs and retainers.
Flow went from 360 stock to about 397 on the intake.
Flow went from 224 stock to about 260 on the exhaust.
Flow numbers kept going up above the 600 lift mark vs. dropping on the stock head.
As far as an install with this head work done, Custom cam, Custom Springs, Custom Retainers, Vortex Ram induction System, BPP long tube step design jet coated headers, All gaskets, New head bolts, New crank bolt and custom dyno Programming.
You are looking at about just under 7,000.00
You basically get what you pay for. If you do not do the heads like in lingenfelters case power levels off and drops above 6200 rpm where in our case the power continued to rise to 7000 rpm.
I will post the graph up on the site by today.

Not at all. We think on our next heads and cam we will gain another 15 to 25HP with our next version cam.

Is the car even driveable with a stage 3 cam? I put about 15K miles/yr on the Z06, and would not want to sacrifice driveability. If you can please let me know, or PM me. Thanks

i would like to know as well.....
how does it idle?
any surging, die outs or near die outs?
does it hiccup just off idle?
what will i notice in stop and go traffic with ur set of cams?
i already know it makes power...
feel free to pm me as well

Our Dyno Graph is now on our website. You can actually see the HP increase and not drop in power in the upper RPMs like the cars with just the cam.
