C6 Door Speaker Mounting Plates, Round 2!
Thanks to forum member "TheKomoman" for building such a great product and thanks so much to everyone that helped us sell out the original sets of speaker installation plates! Now that they're gone it's time to make some more. they're setup on the machine and running so we thought you might like to take a look at the machining.
A couple of videos too:

Video 2
We will continue to sell the 2-way 6.5" style original plates but are adding a couple of new options - blanks and custom. The blanks are exactly that, the same plates with just outside shape so you can cut
the holes that YOU need for your specific application.
We will also now offer custom plates as well. The custom work will start with the blank plate and have holes milled or drill as you specify. Examples of the application would be for 3 way systems where
you would want a midbass and tweeter mounted in the door opening and then a midrange in the trim panel or if you are putting a single 7" or 8" driver in the door opening and need a single hole centered.
Regardless of driver hole configuration the plates are CNC machined 5mm(0.205") thick phenolic plates with all the strength and durability you could ask for. Each set contains 4 pieces, 2 each of the 3.5" plate
for the trim panel and 2 each of the 10" door opening panel.
These plates fit all C6 models - coupe, convertible and yes, Z06!
Pricing:
Standard 6.5" 2-way configuration: $50.00
Blanks: $50.00
Custom Configuration: $100.00
Shipping charges applies to all 3 configurations, UPS Ground, contiguous 48 states only. Express shipping and shipments to Alaska and Hawaii will incur additional charges, please contact us for information. Custom configured parts require approximately 2 weeks to complete.

Glad you like em!
A little cold water and soap will take care of the itching.

In case folks are thinking about these but the price of custom work is scaring you off.... I have it priced that way because to do a single custom set is alot of work for setup. Ed is willing to run a group purchase if there's interest, I would be willing to cut the custom price to $75(from $100) if I can do them in groups of 5.
Post here if you're interested and if it looks like there's enough, Ed will start the group purchase. Thanks!

Just ordered my second set - Dan's workmanship is second to none. Why do I need a second set? I need to have perfection for sound compitition - new plates will provide that advantage (after primed and painted).

I just purchased the speaker plates. I have alot of questions and would love to be able to speak to you Komoman about my install.
From your earlier advice- I ordered Focal coaxial 5.25 speakers for the rear. I have Focal K3P's for the front and I'll just use the midbass and nix the midwoofer (3 speaker setup). I'll keep the Audison amps for my truck install so I purchased the JL slash amps (300/4 and 500/1) and two Elemental Design 10" subs. I'll be using a Kenwood Excelon DDX-8017 with inputs for XM and Nav. I have a center channel speaker from Kenwood, but may opt to change it to a 3.5" Boston Acoustic for better center channel sound. I bought the chime module to be able to keep factory "dings" etc. My car is a 2006 C6 Z06 with Bose but w/o Onstar and Nav. I'll buy you a Happy Meal if we could discuss some install issues.

Thanks for the order! I'll be happy to answer whatever questions I can, either in a thread so others can help as well or via PM, whatever you'd like.
Thanks again!
