Default Brey Krause finally delivers a harness bar for the C6 & Z06...

This morning I got an e-mail from Brey Krause letting me know their harness bar for the C6 and Z06 was available. I called one of the distributors to learn the bar was $725.00 So I am pleased about the value of my Shark Bar!

They do have a very cool tow hook available for $121.00 which I ordered. Hope the tow truck never has has to hook to it!!

I had the BK bar in the C5. Very strong. One of the few harness bars out there that is actually crash tested. That's why GM uses BK bars.
I'll have to stop by and take a look. Yes, they are local to where I live.

Could you PM me with details about where to get this and (maybe) how it mounts?

See www.bkauto.com/C6 for the available parts and distributors.

Nice find!

I just crawled under my car to check the place this would attach to.
Do you know what will be required to mount and secure this? Drilling into the Al frame?

I don't know how it attaches yet. I've requested an installation .pdf from Brey Krause. I'll respond when I get the part or the answer, whichever comes first.

Looks like it screws into the bumper absorber, an aluminum part that is welded to the aluminum side frames and designed to withstand loads from the other (rear) side. Not sure about this one . . . like getting pulled up an embankment, out of a mud-filled ditch or other attractive place one can find off the pavement. I would like to know where GM puts the tow hook receiver on European delivery cars (I think it's required)??

Euro spec Z06 cars don't have a tow hook receiver either in the front or rear, unlike regular C6 models.

Exactly why I wonder if the aluminum bumper absorber in the Z is a good place to hook the hook - clearly where they put the factory Eurohook on the steel absorber. Oh well, any volunteer test mules?
