It list for around 2250.00 but I have found it online for under 1400.00 My plan is to purchase it online and find a good installer.... so the search is on.
I first saw this unit at a Car Toys store in Dallas. The harddrive built into the system makes it very easy to store your CD's. Everytime you put in a CD it hasen't played, it will rip it onto the HD so you don't need the CD again. I believe it saves it as an MP3 file so you can load lot's of music onto the system. The navigation software is also loaded onto the HD which gives faster access to the data than a typical DVD reader.
Here is a link to the pioneer site with lots of good information on the unit.

I have it and LOVE it! The Nav unit is excellent. I also like the fact that I can "download" a cd and develop my own library since it has a hard drive built in. It will record whatever you put in. I just had the XM processor installed and it comes with a traffic feature that will let you know what the traffic is like in the area in which your are travelling. I do not live in a large city but it is great when we are going to one. I cannot say anything negative about this unit. I have had it for a couple months now and really haven't figured everything out but it has so many features it will take a while to learn them all. You can't go wrong with the Z1.

I bought it as well. Got it from http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=946 and they were offering a discount for CF Members a while back. I ended up buying the Sirius Tuner, the Bluetooth unit, the chime keeper, and Dashkit from them. I love the setup, and never had any issues with it.

Does anyone have a picture of the unit in their dash? I'm interested in how it looks in the C6 dash.

Ohh boy,,, are these refurbs or Japanese imports? I've heard horror stories about these companies. I did alot of research on digi cams and found out that too good to be true deals we're Canon knockoffs.. be careful bro.. Those prices are below dealer cost and Pioneer regulates that.

I have it and I love it! I got it through a friend but I also saw it on ebay for $1599 buy it now price. I also hooked up the nav traffic feature for $3.99 more on my xm bill, I think for fifty bucks a year its worth it. Overall I say its the best Head Unit on the market right now.

My installer told me he could put some sort of switch in it to make the DVD player work while driving. I don't ever watch dvd's in my car so I didn't ask him to explain it but he said they had done a number of them with no problems.
