Sad if it's true. But GM did just announce they lost $3.2 billion (I think for the quarter and includes downsizing charges), maybe they're trying to make it up off the Z06.

I can hear it now from the critics.........
"With a new higher price, the Z06 is no longer a bang for the buck anymore"

I don't think so. Still showing 2LZ as a 3485.00 MSRP option.

I realize the retail sites are still reflecting those prices. You just need to trust me on this one. I hate it, but it's a fact.

I'm with J on this one. And we have to remember, they lowered the price for a little while when they did that across the board whizbang marketing discount on all Chevy products but that discount already had disappeared I think.
For anyone still holding onto the notion that there is going to be a wholesale drop in net price (MSRP plus dealer bump) in 2007, I recommend you get over it and come to grips with the reality that we're very likely to have another year like last year. I'm totally cool if you disagree with me because I'm happy to wait and see. I'm driving my Z and glad I took the plunge and I didn't pay a ridiculous amount over MSRP. Don't get me wrong; I know there were people who got deals at MSRP this year but they were few and far between.
Sorry to hear about the bump in price though, gotta say that.
