Default Any experiences with Flowmaster Exhaust on C6

...looking for an economical upgrade for exhaust. Any body tried the Flowmaster 2005 2006 Corvette C6 Muffler Kit #17416 ?

And if you have, got a sound bite ?

I have this system on my C6 and am extremely happy with it.It has a nice deep idle tone, and a throaty growl on acceleration. It can probably be described as a nice middle ground between stock and the more aggressive systems like the Bullets or Stingers. At cruise you have a very pleasant burble to remind you what's on tap,but you can drive all day and still not tire of it.Most of all,it has that classsic Flowmaster sound-and at $400.it won't break the bank.

I have them on my 05 A4. There was some drone...At 1500-1800 rpm. I made some resonater inserts that solve it .. I love the sound. Not too loud. Nice and throaty.

Who sells Flowmaster of the forum suppliers? I love their sound on Mustangs and 1/2 price sounds good to me! Any cutting involved or is it a bolt on?

I have the Flowmaster system. I love the sound. Very little drone on my MN6.

I was not able to find it from any of the forum vendors though. I had to Google it, but I paid 360 shipped.

No cutting was involved. It was a true bolt on, however I took a while to get them on and the tips are crooked. I will be taking mine to a pro to adjust those.

I have this system and I love this system. Here's a link I posted some months back after first installing. Read all about it and listen to a sound clip.

Sounds good and the two outlet exhaust looks better than the 4 to me. I think you just made up my mind on the exhaust !!

Good thread, never thought of the flowmasters, was thinking of getting the magnaflows 14335, but would prefer a bolt on system, i.e save the stock mufflers. Are the flowmasters bolt on? Sounds like the magnaflows are a little more aggressive sound...

I have them and their great, They are a bolt on, and you get to keep your stock exhaust...Plain and simple for a throaty exhaust sound without paying big bucks

Hi! I'm new to this forum and I'm from Quebec,Canada. I bought a 2005 C6 Coupe and added Flowmaster axle back Force II mufflers to her. It sounds great and I don't know anything about groan, she sounds perfect all the time.

Thanks, I've been looking at getting some 40 series on my "Vette", I had them on my Hemi and I loved them. What series do you have?
