LPE Wins!
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...hlight=sir+sel
After months of deliberation I decided on the TT for my C5. All respect goes to the C6Z for being perhaps the best and fastest GM Vette ever built. It's been a dream of mine shortly after becoming a modaholic with my C5 was to have TT's and also to have LPE be my tuner. Like many others, I originally thought they were out of my price range and opted for a more economical route. To keep a long story short that idea backfired big time.
Three conversations later with Ed Potter, I'm on my way to drop my car this past weekend to LPE in Indiana. I wanted it to be an enjoyable weekend so I had my wife and kids (6 and 9 years old) follow behind me in our Denali. Ed gave the name and number of a nearby hotel with an indoor pool.
As luck would have it about 200 miles from LPE in Ohio, 2 miles after refueling my vette it started knocking terribly and then stalled completely. Sounded mechanical and too loud to be detonation. Needless to say I was a little . While I was reaching new high levels of blood pressure my wife promptly call Onstar and got the name of a local U-Haul which didn't have a trailer but was helpfully enough to research and locate a trailer some 60 miles west of our location. She speed off to get the trailer leaving me in the car. At this time it was apparent I wouldn't reach LPE by noon (closing time on Sat.) so I called and spoke with Jeff.
Shortly thereafter I spoke with Ed and he was kind enough to give me his cell and home number and reassured me he would meet me whenever I arrived. About 2:30pm, true to his word, Ed and his Son Nick (it was Nick's Birthday) came back to the shop and not only helped me unload my car but then proceeded to escort me to drop off the trailer and then finally took me to the Hotel.
The hospitality and service that Ed and his Son delivered was first rate and I truly appreciate their efforts.

I wish I had the $$ for that.. You made the right choice. I dont think c6 Zs are what they make them out to be. I pulled about 3 cars on one in a race with my 01 blown z06, He said he had a tune
Let us know when you get it back how it came out

Thanks guys. A few years ago I got a ride in a 427TT and I still think about how awesome it felt with a balanced level of power, handling and braking. I'm looking for about 600rwhp.
While my car is getting lean and mean I decided to do some of the same, so it's 30 min cardio, 30 min strength training for everyday my car is gone. Tough getting older and fatter.
Although the shop was closed I got to see the 1000rwhp beast that is on the recent MotorTrend and also their Commemorative Edition that is on Road & Track. Simply works of art.

Dwight,
You're a bad influence in a good way. Thanks again for all the PM's, additional information and pictures that further convinced me to purchase LPE. They owe you a commission buddy.
