I think he's full of it. I'm quite certain it will be called the SS. I've heard nothing of "blue devil" for a while now.

Blue Devil then Stingray then SS. If this guy's still going on about a blue devil I think he's two names behind and just running his mouth.

Hope he's right though.

I don't believe that the information was about an official name for this uberVette, but rather that it will develop hp that is extraordinary (at least for 2006). Simply put, Pipelion has heard (from a reliable inside source) numbers that will amaze any auto enthusiast (but especially Vette loyalists).

I sure would love to see what he claims come true.

If they go with 750 hp, ceramis brakes, carbon fiber everything, great interior and runs the Ring in 7:20. I am in. All I need to do is sell my property and move into a trailor.

TetraU, From what I recall, Pipelion is legit. He has a strong appreciation of performance cars and wants ownership experiences shared (the good, the bad, the reality). I would not have posted a link (anywhere - let alone here) to that thread if I felt it was just more "hype." Naturally, the info sounds so good that a cautious reader would be skeptical; but let's just hope that Pipelion's heard specs that will be setting a new standard for "production/supercar/ sports cars."

My only 'potential' complaint is what it'll look like. I personally think that the Z06 missed the boat, and should be more aggressive in appearance. My guess is that the Blue Devil will look like a modified Z06 - boaring!!
Let's face it, the GT is beauty in motion.
