Looks very cool man

What are your crossover points on the tweeters? Each set that is? Do you have the ones on the upper dash out of phase? From the pic it looks like they are mounted on that little triangle piece at the far corners of the dash near the windshield.

Again looks very cool and stealth. Might be worth grabbing some acoustic carpet to throw over the tweets up top to not draw any "bonus" attention.

Thanks for the positive comments fej, put alot of time into this install but it was well worth it.
As for crossover points, all that is controled by the three-way crossover I mounted in each door for the three ways and I will have to get the manual to see what the points are, if they list them.
As for the up-stage tweeters they are out of phase and they are mounted on the bottom part of the A-pillar facing the windshield. The crossover for the upstage is adjustable with jumpers but again I'll check the manual for what those poins are.
I'll look to post that information tomorrow when I get some time to check it out.

Later

scott fx,
I love the upstage effect. I ran the system without them hooked up, just the doors running, and the sound was good but seemed to be low, about the bottom/ middle of the dash or so. I then hooked up the upstage and now it seems like the sound stage is about mid windshield or a bit higher. I really like the system, was easy to put it inline and the install was clean. I haven't gotten the crossovers set just right yet but I'll get to it sometime soon. The crossovers are adjustable in several ways and I haven't been able to play with them yet.

Thanks for the nice comments,

Darion

You should take a look at the Vrum Vrum mounting plate. Would look really nice in there. A bit of an improvement over the standard plastic mounts. Well worth the 80 bucks.

Stickman81,
Thanks for the comments and interest. When I started this project I decided that I wanted to keep the hatch area as clean as possible, so that meant that I had to conseal everything.
Here's what I did;
The sub box is sealed with a divider and measures .33qft per side. Knowing that I had to find drivers that would work in that limited space, I found Image Dynamics 8's that fit the bill. As for the box design, it matches the shape of the center well and I mocked the whole thing up in cardboard before going to wood.
Another problem I had was finding an amp that was compact, with strong watt output and would run my entire system. What I found was Cadance audio and the amp is the Amadues M4000. It is a four channel amp, rated a 100X4, can be bridged and is very small in size. To this point I love this amp, very strong, stays cool, has nice HP/LP crossovers, don't hardly have the gains up and runs everything no problem.
So, this box took me a long while to get done. Ended up making three different cardboard moc-ups before I got to the one I liked and it is a tight fit.
As for me, I am very pleased with the outcome of my project, not only in look but sound also. Several friends have commented that they thought I had 10's or a good 12" in it and they a shocked to see two 8's.
So thats my story and if ya want more info just PM me and I'll get it to ya.
Thanks for the interest,

Darion

Darion,

Thank you for the great information on the sub box. I've wondered why no one had put the amp in the speaker area before. I really like the look (or lack of it depending on your view point) of everything.

Thanks again for the info.
