Ed.....you're the MAN. The instructions you included with the package were pretty clear, but these pics makes installation fool-proof. I was just waiting for some warmer weather, which looks like it's coming this weekend.

I mainly did this because of the trouble you had. Prior, I had sold almost 500 sets and only one or two questions so I felt the instructions were OK. I will now add a link on my site to these instructions.

Thanks for your feedback, it helps make things better for all.

Ed

Two types of "real tools".....same basic principal that you use, except the "real tools" have no cutting edge

a panel puller also works perfect as it fits the grove on the big ones and the little ones.

I appreciate the post but "Real" tools are nice and not in the average home and cost good money and serve one purpose. You would not be able to cut through that pin very easily and with the diags you can do it without having to remove the tire, can't speak for the "real" tools.

Seems pretty basic but a good write up. I have not been a fan of mud flaps but I'm slowly changing my mind. If anyone is interested Lowe's has a complete assortment of GM and Ford body nut's, and bolts. Most of it is the plastic stuff like the pin involved with Ed's flaps.

Default side of the brain

Some folks just get mechanical stuff. Some get real simple stuff. But some don't. The instructions I got did not differentiate the plug's role from the pin's. Nor the reinstall for each. Both out and now what? What fits into to what? And when? I think some assumptions were made. I'm a car dunce who know's a ton about designing a residential swimming pool. But nothing about auto fasteners. We all have our place! I enjoy mine and my mud flaps.
