Default Header Results

After trying 4 different cams and 3 different headers
on my C6Z we are today finally swapping the headers
that have been on the car for 2 months out for the
"other brand" headers that we normally don't sell
and have not yet tested.
We made 3 dyno pulls this am and recorded the HP and TQ #s along with the coolant temps of each run.
We have a 0% correction factor today and should have the car back on the dyno shortly for the new #s
We are not changing the tune or anything else on the car other than the headers.
This car has our new 21CMC GT7-3 custom grind cam, 160 stat, TR55 plugs, stock air filter and assembly, the long tube headers w. hi flow cats and an in-house tune. From what I have seen posted, we should see some big gains in TQ. I will post the numbers as soon as we have them.

This same car made 544 RWHP and 500 RWTQ with the filter removed.
We will be testing the new "Air Charger" System for the Z next week and expect some nice gains.

Best Regards,
John Page

So, what the data tells me is that there is not much HP or torque difference between the two headers tested. Any more info on the brands other than Brand A/B or should I just read between the lines?

Which brand is the one you usually do not sell: "Brand A" or "Brand B"?

Thanks for the great work! Nice to have straight-shooting work!

I would think the A system HP gains would discount the B system torque gains espescially since we are only talking <3 hp and <5 Lb Ft difference. That is certainly not enough to notice.

Well, peak numbers don't tell that much. How about scanning the dyno sheets so we can see the area under the curve for both for the whole RPM range?

Kudos for posting results even though they are contrary to what you thought was going to happen. Looks like Header B does exactly what it advertises. Can you post an overlay? Would be very interested to see area under the curve.

What numbers are you looking at? It looks to me that Brand "B" has 14-19 Ft lb more than "A" for peak numbers. A full graph would be nice to see to the comparison through the entire curve. I would bet that "B" has higher HP through out the curve even though their peak numbers are very close.
