Timken has a long and proud history of making quality bearings.
Some people feel they are among the best in the world.
I am one of those people.

Thanks for the reply's. I found some Timken bearings for $124.00 each, but if I could get them for half that at wheelbearings.com.....well who wouldn't if it's about the same quality.

Timken bearings are used on most freight train rail cars. Not that it has a direct correlation on Corvette hub bearings but, they know how to build a heavy duty bearing. Those rail cars can carry around 250,000 lbs each.

I will throw this out just as a thought, over the years (many) i have found that if you go to a industrial bearing supply shop and simply let them match part numbers, that 80-90% of the time you can save alot of money. Try it, it might save you enough to help you get the next thing you need. luck, ....

I have done that to replace old roller bearings and cages with modern sealed bearings on some of the systems on my 1948 Harley.
I don't believe that will help with the wheel bearings on a C4, since it is a hub assembly.
