Default SouthernCarParts - Tail Light Seals

Try our newly launched Tail Light Seals and stop the "Dreaded Drip"

What is the dreaded drip? The dreaded drip is when you just finish washing and drying your Corvette, everything looks awesome.....You walk around your pride and joy for that one last look and there it is, the DREADED DRIP. It is the water that collects in your tail lights (because GM did not put a seal between the tailight and the body) and then drips out and down the rear bumper 5-10mins AFTER you finish drying your car. It is also the water that collects in the taillights and attracts all the road grime when you first take your Vette for a spin after a good washing.

Southern Car Parts Tail light seals solve the problem FOREVER, guaranteed!!!!!

Our tail light seals take less than 7 minutes to install, come with instuctions, and are pre-cut to be an exact fit every time. Only tools needed to intall them is a T15 Torx head and window cleaner. No glueing as they have a self-adhesive backing.

The seals are made from a high quality rubber that is UV resistant, temp resistant, and water resistant....THE SEALS ARE GUARANTEED FOR THE LIFE OF YOUR CAR. If they ever rot, crack, tear, or fade we will REPLACE THEM FREE OF CHARGE!

You will NEVER see the DREADED DRIP again!!!!!

Price is $24.99.

Truly not the case.....Check out your local retail stores and you will see that the weatherstipping they sell there is the wrong dimensions to use for your car, either too thick or too wide.

I'm sorry to admit you're right. I tried the Lowes/ Home Depo route and bought crap that absorbed water. My car would drip if I drove through Death Valley. After $10 for the crap, $5 worth of gas, and a few hours driving to and from the stores, installing and ripping out the junk, I finally parted with the $25.

If you don’t like the price or item being offered in for sale thread, take it to e-mail or PMs. Better still, just move on to a thread that is offering something you like the price on.

If you post a criticism of the price or the quality of the item being offered, you will be in violation of Forum rules and subject to sanctions.

If you post your own for sale items to the for sale thread started by someone else, you also are in violation of Forum rules. Start your own thread, rather than jumping into the thread of someone else.

If your contribution to a for sale thread does not advance the sale, you are in the way.
Consider this a warning...

Thanks

We tried those places first. You'll like these a lot once you get them installed.

Greetings. I drive through Marietta daily. Are you guys setup so I can stop by and just pick this item up?

Even more to the point - I hang a right on Shaw Rd right down the street from you while I'm backroading it over to Piedmont on the way to work.

I thought $25 for some weather stripping was excessive, but I bought any way. This is definitely high quality rubber with a good 3m tape backing. Installation took a few minutes and it looks OEM good. Most people don't notice the mod, those that do assume it's factory. That's my definition of a quality product.

I'm pleased as punch with the results. No more water buildup, and my tail lights have a new, more "finished" look.

Quick question. If I needed to change a tail light bulb, would the seal be damaged with the removal of the lens? I have never changed a tail bulb out. Not even sure if the lens needs to come out or if it is done from the inside of the trunk.

No problem at all....The fit with the seals is PERFECT. Not too tight, but snug enough to keep water and grime out. You will not damage them at all.

Easy to pop the tailights in and out after seal installation.

Have you tested them / will they work with taillight louvers? Thanks!
