Last month I solicited input from you here on the value of a friend's 65.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1246680

I ended up buying it today. It was a fully functional car when it was put on jack stands a few years ago in order to replace the brakes. Pics of the car as it sits are below. I'll bring it home Sunday. It needs all the new brake bits installed, and of course belts/hoses and fluid changes at this point. Should have it running within a week of getting home. Edit - I should clarify that yes I think it will be running within a week of getting it home but then followed with lots of new this's and that's to address whatever has gone bad while it sat.

Nice purchase Jeff . He's probably glad a friend bought it, allthough it must have been hard for him to give you an asking price.

I've known the family for 16+ years, and have helped them work on this car off and on. Actually it's my fault the car got torn apart to do the brakes (I kept saying "do it, do it, do it"), and "life's" fault there was never time to put it back together.

It's one of those deals where he loved the car but knows I'll take care of it. Besides he can still see it right outside of his office window when I park it in our parking lot.

Looks like a real nice 65 ya found there. Best of luck with it. A little shielding with that air cleaner would finish that engine off really nice.

Indeed. The car comes with the main piece, the rest I'll buy once more important things (such as new redlines) have been addressed

Jeff,

Congrats on the car from another fellow 65 Silver Coupe owner. Except for the SB hood looks exactly like mine from the outside......
