i talked to the proteam guy for a little while. he popped the hood for me. nabors restored it in 6 weeks, yeah.....6 weeks. it looked great. i said "there must have been a buyers premium for that", and the guy just cracked up. it's a 390 horse car. i didnt look to see if they restamped it as everybody knows the car was missing the motor.

i asked what they thought it would go for when they sold it. he said they were going to "promote" it a lot, and in the end they think i might bring a cool Million.

jeese. crazy spending that kind of money for a serial number.

Talked to a vendor that does clock/guage restoration. He said P-T talked 3/4 people who do guage restoraations to 'donate' their services to the car and sent them a set of guages to redo. One discovered what he was doing and called the others to confirm just what was going on and they sent them back.

If I remember correctly that is what PT said about the infamous Scotty.

I know it won't amount to a hill of beans, but I will make it a point to not patronize any of the vendors involved in that sham of a project.

The car was last titled/registered in Oklahoma - that's where Bill Mock lives, and he had that plate on it.

The car was stunning - the Nabers guys did a terrific job on it, and did it in less than six weeks; only lost 22 points (out of 4500). Resto bill was $125K.

GM should buy that last '67 and put it on display in their design center as inspiration.

It would be a cheap investment.

Amazing that for so many years GM led the world in automotive beauty and now only cranks out rental fleet and appliance looking transportation pods.

It's sink or swim time.

Hopefully they can soon return to styling and finish-quality greatness.

Default Last 67, Who stamped the engine pad, Who judged??

If it lost only 22 points, the pad must have been perfect. We all need that guy restamping and there will be no more issue of origional engines.

Great pix - too bad there were not all those cars there on Sunday!

I was there Sunday morning and it was a ghost town........not an old town....
the NCRS FL website stated there would be the same show on Sunday - but I now know that after the judging is over - the owners take their babies home.

I was disappointed but now know.

SO - a word to the wise - go on the judging days!

I saw NO '64 Corvettes!!!!
what is that?
I was hoping to talk to some owners about some stuff - but
no one was there
oh well

Bill Mock had that car listed in Hemmings for sale $295,000 in the rough.
