Default Vette Doctors and American Racing Headers-1st Header designed specifically for C6 Z06

With the arrival of the new C6 Z06, three of our customers were fortunate enough to be amongst the first to receive their Z06's. All three have been customers for over 10 years and have the same sickness we all share. The two customers in particular that are infected the most (Dave and Paul) had us prescribing a remedy as soon as theirs arrived. Starting with the exhaust, we spent weeks testing many different brands and have not been satisfied with either the performance or quality of the available C6 Z06 specific header systems.

In an effort to provide the best performance option to the C6 Z06 community, we (The Vette Doctors) have teamed up with American Racing Headers to develop the first C6 Z06 specific Header/Exhaust system. Based on our extensive research, development and testing, we determined that the new LS7 needed a very specific design to allow for improved exhaust port scavenging. Modified C5/C6 headers did not install easily nor did they perform up to the challenge of the LS7. After testing several versions of our new header here is the finished product:

Here are the details of this new and exciting product:

Made from 304 stainless steel
D Port matched flange
Full 1-7/8" tube
Custom race merge collector
Direct signal X-crossover with prerequisite metallic cats
Designed specifically for the new Z06/LS7 (headers install from the underneath with no engine lifting)

We went through the daunting task of testing various primary lengths as well as merge designs and found this set-up made no compromises. Fit and ease of installation is extremely good.

We then went after the best design for the exhaust and found placing the crossover directly in-line with the collectors gave the best overall results. As our dyno testing proved, with out any tuning, we made significant power gains. The feel behind the wheel more than justifies what we read on the dyno.

Without a doubt we expect the "Vette Doctor Series" C6 ZO6 headers to be the biggest bang for the buck modification you can perform to these amazing cars.

For C6 owners, an equally impressive, similarly designed 1-3/4 header was developed that uses "race style" merge collectors and uses the same direct signal X-crossover.

We're real proud to announce the release of these items and look forward to the amazing feedback we'll receive from those who give them a shot. As of right now, these headers are available through us and a select few dealers to be determined in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for further updates. As always, feel free to contact us for more details and pricing.

The photo's show our off road system but a catted system is available. Photo's of the catted system will be posted soon. Pricing for the 2006 ZO6 specific system is $1835.90 plus shipping with high flow matallic cats. This system is all 304 stainless and features "real race merge collectors". Install is done from under the vehicle. Raising the engine is unnecessary. Additional clearance was made to keep heat off the dry sump lines. Off-road system is 1649.90 plus shipping
If you have additional questions please feel free to call me. 631-608-1986

If you can't scan it yet can you at least post the gains?

I was going to order the LG's as I was happy with them in the past but now considering this route because I know Dave and because you always treated me right and did kick *** work on my car.

Here's the dyno sheet from our test car. Without tuning you can clearly see how well the car responded. Someone mentioned about the length being too short. Like my original post states, we went with a primary length that works while maintaining space for the merge collectors. In this case you're looking at true equal length 26" long primaries. Also you need to realize that our collectors are pointed directly to our X-crossover, which dramatically increases the signal for better scavenging.

Awesome design... it looks like you can't use only the headers b/c of the new X-pipe design. If I had a C6 Z06 I'd probably order these... but I don't =(
