Death of a Z06 -- UPDATED
This happened in Richardson Texas on 9 Dec 2005. Person was from Kentucky. Car was less than 60 days old. Had just picked up the vehicle from service and driven off the dealership. Driver walked away with a chipped tooth.
The word from the guys at Reliable is the frame is bent.
Update..guy had just had it serviced at Reliable. He took off down the access road and lost control. The two trucks were parked in a parking lot adjacent to the road and he "slid" under neath the first one. The car is at Reliable.
Update 12-20-05: Vehicle was totaled out and has been picked up from Reliable. Engine and front end trashed and frame bent. FUBAR.
Sorry about the bandwidth issue for the pics. If anyone has another place I can download them to please let me know.
Happy Holidays everyone.

He's lucky to have come out with only a chipped tooth. Those pictures speak well of the car's integrity to protect in an accident. And that's about all the good I can say.

Wow, I bet the insurance company is hating that. But as far as the safety that speaks volumes .....Its cheaper to fix or total out a car verses fixing or totaling out a human life , for that im sure the insurance is grateful....a

This car was shown on another forum a few days ago. No one knew the story behind it. Now we know a little more.
One of the pictures in the other forum showed a tiretrack across the roof and it was somewhat of a mystery how it got there . . . until now.
If I'm ever in an accident where the result is my car looking like that, I hope and pray that I can walk away with only a chipped tooth. Glad he was OK.

Yeah, and some people are begging GM for MORE horsepower. Most people can't even handle 505. This guy obviously wasn't using close to the entire 505. This is going to be a common scene guys. Unfortunately a lot of people who can't handle the power of this car are going to buy it anyway, and this will most likely be the result. Common sense guys, common sense, if you can't handle it, don't buy it.
