Default LG Motorsports C6-Z06 exhaust bypass switch

Hi Guys,

Here is our version of the Exhaust cut out switch. It mounts in the center of the console in the removable plastic pannel. I will get a photo of the mounting location tomorrow.

The harness plugs directly into your fuse box and routes under the carpet and center console right to the center location.

the price is $59 complete with the switch and detailed instructions.

Give us a call to order one.

Default Looks Good

But I do have one question.Should we have an inline fuse to replace the 10A fuse Gm designed into the circuit? Or does the LG solution offered have an inline fuse I didn't see?

Cheers

it is a 10 amp switch. BUT if anyone wants an inline fuse, we can do it. It will add a bit to the cost but not much.

We will have these built by the same company that builds our 02 sensor extensions for our headers.

Thanks

Lou,

Have you checked the possibility of toggling the switch with the right arm while shifting or just resting there? Or also by closing the center armrest?

Looks real clean!

There are supposed to be 7000 Z06s built this year (probably more like 4000)

I don't expect to sell one of these switches to all 7000.

and at $59, I will look forward to making a million dollars after I selling 16,949 C6-Z06 exhaust bypass switches. And that will be gross sales, minus parts and labor.

So based on that it will take 3 years, and GM will have to mandate that EVERY Z06 must buy this switch. Plus I would not want to have my guys solder 16k of these.

This is one of those parts that we only build to help the Corvette community. I would rather sell 16,000 sets of headers

Thanks guys,

Hi,
That was why we put the low profile rocker switch rather than a stick type toggle switch. It is right in line with the Traction control switch which requires the arm to be pulled back to turn off.

Thanks

Lou, can you offer the part that the switch mounts on also so no drilling is required on my part? That would make it even easier for someone like me. I'll pay extra.

Hi Lou

I can't quite make myself sell my 66L72 so that I can afford a new Z, but if I do (and I miss my 01Z) I will look forward to both your recommendations and your products.

Doug

Good work, looks realy clean. Is there a neat way to identify the switch position by picture or by text next to the switch?

Frank,

I think we can do that. I will check tomorrow and take a look at it.

It should be no problem if we can get these parts. I believe that they are the same on a C6. Do you know if that is correct? It would at least be in stock if it was the same as a C6.

Thanks
Lou G

PS,
Headup. That would only cost $42,880. for labor and with economy of scale and quantity discounts, the parts might be asl low as another $480,000. So that would give us a pre tax profit of $477,120 not including marketing costs. This forum and my web site, and my webmaster, plus magazine ads will eat the bulk of another $300,000 over 3 years, so that would only leave $177,120 profit over 3 years or $59,040 per year as a net pay.

I think I will pump gas at 7-11 instead

Here is the deal. I am trying to be funny here. I know that you only have 30 posts and about 2 months on the forum so I can forgive you.

In reality any legitimate corporation is doing good to make a net profit of between 4% and 7%. Do the math and that comes to an average of 5.5% profit on 1 million dollars. or $55k which is even less than the $177k I spelled out.

And you forget that there won't be 200 Z06 cars that buy a switch in the next couple of years so that weights the overhead heavily on just 200 or so parts.

Business is easy and time is of no value. Not even my time on these boards, or the time I spend at my office (like now) hitting the computer in between the 1/2 days that I work. (1/2 of a 24 hour day is 12 hours). Tell my Doctor or Lawyer that time has no value.

I can only wish that we could make a net profit in the range that you speak of.

God Bless

Thanks
Lou Gigliotti

Just to clarify...We are all in support of you buying you own wire, switch, solder, etc, etc. Not standing in your way here.

Thank you.

Looks great, Lou.

I can afford the switch...now I just need to figure out how to fit the Z06 into the budget.

Don't let one, two, or even five ("three sir"), er, three downers ruin the party (had to throw in a Monty Python bit, sorry). We all appreciate your work, products, and contributions here.

Now, I'll just wait here, patiently, for you to let me know when you're ready to sell me your Z, as I'm sure you'll need to get an '07 to test new products on....

Cheers.

I didn't measure it. But it does reach from the fuse to the center with a nice routing path.

I will try to measure one tomorrow.

Thanks

Lou,

Thank you. I may want to mount the switch in another location.
