Most of those guys over at Mb forums are full of horse ****! There's also a video over there of a Chipped Cl65 racing the new Z06 from a roll in Vegas the Z06 won!
Those arent stock Benzes That 65 is chipped w/gives it crazy power! the E55 is also modded there stock 1/4 mile is 12.5 at best...

The guy in the Z06 must a missed a shift..

Both those benzes are not stock, there running Drag slicks and multiple mods...I know for a fact theres an SL65 owned by Treynor over @ MBworld w/renntech ecu and slicks ran an 11.40 that's the only way he'd beat a STOCK Z06 also the only E55 to break into those times was running multiple pulley, ecu, limited slip diff, and 120 shot of NOS to achieve those times to be able to beat a STOCK 06 Z06...

Those guys over @mbworld are constantly going on how there HEAVY *** BENZES are the fastest thing to ever hit the street, please there 4500lbs -5000lbs w/out serious modding there not beating the new Z06 just aint gonna happen folks...

The launches were terrible. On that last pass, he bounced off the rev limiter too it sounded like.

There is a stock SL65 that I run my car against which is running a 7.2 @98-100 in the 1/8th. Has any Z's run that fast?

Hahah dood you have to research and then open your mouth, benzes are 4000 + driver, stock with a decent driver it runs 12.2 to 12.4 @ 115-117 mph, with good drivers its 11.8 to 11.9 @118 stock! Go to dragtimes.com and see for yourself, yes alot of MB owners are proud of their heavy cars but hey Z06 board are proud of lil Z06 too !

Moded E55 runs 11.7 with LSD, If you add nawz you will run 11.5, There' s a guy who has mods + Nawz + slicks and runed 10.95 i belive @ 130 mph too lazy to check.

They are great cars. Dont be hating!

P.s i had 05 E55 for 8 month and loved it.

uhh that vegas video of the CL65 vs. Z06 the CL65 won. No it was not stock, it was renntech chipped and had exhaust, but my point is the modded ones (even the stock ones) are VERY quick. That same renntech CL65 went (off the top of my head)11.5 at about 129mph which is enough to take a stock Z.

don't get me wrong, im all for the Z but you gotta give respect for fast cars where its due, and these AMG's are FAST

Hey dork! I'm a owner of a benz and member of mbworld, E55 w/superchargers weigh 4200lb add a driver and full tank guess what stupid 4500lb as for the Sl65, Cl65, they tilt the scales at 4800lbs once again add a driver ect...Your dreaming dragtimes is fulla shi*...There are so many posts over @MBworld backing up what I've said 12.5 is a good time for any stock 55 model w/blower, There's little driver error when all you have to do is plant your foot on the gas

Dude you and the rest of those E55'rs are dreaming!! yes HEAVILY modded they will be able to take the Stock Z06, the reason I wrote this was the original poster said "STOCK BENZES BEATING Z06"

Yeah your right but the CL65 just barely walked the Z06! and the Z06 was stock, while the CL65 was chipped w/exhaust.

Don't get me wrong the AMG'S are fast but NO STOCK E55 or 65 model is taking out a new C6 Z06, It takes a 65 twin turbo 12 cylinder making 604 hp 739to stock, then they have to chip it upping the hp to somewhere around 700hp & 900to to beat a Stock Z06 w/505hp 500to..

At best a STOCK 65 model benz would tie a STOCK Z06 in a 1/4 race period.


Sorry I'm not impressed, If the playing fields were level and you put a twin turbo on the Z06 it would HUMILIATE ANY MODDED BENZ or anything else on the road for that matter...

2. I had to trade it in, still miss it.
3. z06 is a true sports car i wish they would make a true quality interriors.
4. Now im thinking either to get another E55 + mods or get a vette + another small suv.

I like both cars, and dont be a smartass.

About everyone knows some guy with this or that mod to MB that enabled it to run some outrageous time.

I've run three current E55s at the drags. Theirs were stock/stock tires and so was mine. The best of the E55 ran 12.15 @ 116. The worst I ran against them was high 11.9s.

It is far easier to drag race a auto MB than a M12 Z06.

And with a C6Z06 no stock MB will match a well-driven Z.

Result may vary with different drivers.

Why would they make you trade it in after only 8 mo.??

I love the designs Mercedes puts out, There just to DAMN HEAVY...I own a blown S430 w/muiltiple other mods, Yes Mercedes have GREAT interiors, but I Just test drove a 2006 C6 and have to say I was very impressed w/the interior!

This coming from a S class, as soon as I sell her I'm moving straight into the 2005-2006 C6 and then the real modding will begin.
