There will probably also be a Speed Ventures weekend trackday event at the Big Track in January for those who can't come out and play during the week. The SV 2006 schedule is not out yet.

Green Flag is at BW the S/S after Thanksgiving.

Looks like they have the SCCA street school on the 17th of Dec.

Not sure who Cal. Sports Car Club is but they look to be there
this weekend. 19/20

I am definately in for SV on a weekend in January

I will have to see how things shape up for another midweek with OTR.

I am thinking about going to TCRA at Willow on Saturday Dec. 10 (but I got an email from Dean over there and he said it was going to be very busy)

Seems like I want to go all the time now......

Cal club is Solo1 racing. Not an HPDE day.

I'll be there on 12/17 with about 8 other Corvette friends from the car club.

Step one, get the book "Going Faster" put out by the Skip Barber folks (Bentley Publishers). Step two, read the book - some of it is really technical and can be skimmed for now, but you'll get an appreciation for the physics involved in getting around the track in a predictable fashion. At OTR events, we have a classroom session for beginners and a lead-follow series of laps in the first beginners session. After that, there are lots of helpful folks who can ride with you, take you for rides or just answer questions. We all started out that way, and if you take it easy and learn to be smooth and precise around the track, the speed will come naturally. If you try to start fast, bad things usually result. I like to say that the best piece of advice is to leave your ego at home when you go to the track.

Thankx
Heading to B and N to get that book. Ego, I’m not calling myself a virgin because I haven’t screwed myself, Just never been anyone else. You are welcome to slap me if I get stupid. Thank you so much and maybe you’ll see me in your mirror some day.
