Guess they sold the windshield washers in another auction. Or they forgot to put them back on when restoring it. Nice looking car though.

Just took a look at the ebay auction. The pic posted here doesn't seem to have windshield wipers, but the other pics do. Are my eye deceiving me?

I like to know why the car has speed warning, telescopic column, and shoulder belts. thoes three options seem not right for a factory race car

I like the " call for vin" on e-bay. They already gave it away with the engine #. If I where them I would take my mil at B.J and have a party!!!

...just because there is a pic of the engine pad with a number, what makes you so sure that is the car's ACTUAL VIN number???

It could well be the real thing as there were very few. I know of only one and it was in the Pittsburg area with out a 1967 "IT" L88 engine . However I did correctly supply the owner with the right engine to complete the restoration.

What was he asking for the car?

...more "interesting" reading here...

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...054&forum_id=4

...hmmmmmmmm, the mysterious shroud that isn't supposed to be there suddenly gets lost between Pittsburgh & California....hmmmmmm

..also in "this current" eBarf ad, the seller states over & over "the '67 L-88", "THE '67 L-88..." Note how he carefully AVOIDS the use of "THIS" '67 L-88(AKA the one he is selling)...

maybe the builder of this "L88" should have posted here about where to buy a "good" Engine Restamping kit

is ti just me, and I am by far no expert, or does the "T" in the engine suffix look j-u-s-t a little odd? Block sleeved?

It could be understandable if only 20 were built. I can imagine the engines were likely assembled at a separate facility, all by hand.

Reason follows that the vin sequence would surely have been stamped on the regular production line.

The real question here that everyone seems to have overlooked is-
If this really is a 'one of' 67 L-88 worth a FORTUNE, why are you selling it on E-BAY?

All the engines were built by hand; they just had the right tools for mass production.

Looks llike someone added the 'T' to the engine suffix.

67ratrag got it. They are trolling for fish.

There is an interesting thread about this car on the NCRS board.
